> [!leaf] What Matters
This card is about being in the liminal space of a crossroads between the security of a known comfort zone and the adventure of a new creative or spiritual path. If we take the cards in sequence, the [[Ace of Wands]] provides a spark of inspiration, a brilliant new idea. Now, in the 2 of Wands, your task is to take that spark and make a plan to take it to the next level.
There’s a good chance you’re feeling restless for change and you are confident in your ability to make the choices that are best for you, but it’s also likely that with this card you’re not yet actually taking those actions. That’s okay. A key phrase from *Spiritual Tarot* is *the inner stirrings that lead to creation.* This is a card of planning and because two represents choice, there’s bound to be some uncertainty. [[Alyssa Polizzi]] expresses it as — *I am ready but overwhelmed. I am curious but scared. I have time and yet none at all.* Stay with these opposing feelings and resolve them by looking within, not by seeking external validation. A whole world of possibilities is open to you. If you pay attention to your intuition and stay balanced, you’ll know how to proceed.
> [!leaf] Shadow
Twos aren’t just about choice but about decision. Are you going to stick with what you know or take a risk? It’s shadow if you never take action on your desire for change, if you settle for living in a dream world.
> [!leaf] Actions
1. Make plans, yes, but in ways that are different from how you’ve done it in the past. This is a time for out-of-the-box thinking, and new-to-you strategies for deep reflection.
2. Recheck recent plans, using intuition and heart to see if you’re truly comfortable with them.
3. *Tarot of Spirit* says *You have to want something to cure the endless longing.* Do you know what you want, even if you can’t explain it logically? Journal or freewrite in response to any of the following prompts or quotes:
- What is my heart’s desire? What stops me from choosing to live it?
- If I were going to reduce my choices by eliminating one current goal, which one would I eliminate and why?
- What plans do I need to make to bring my ideas to fruition?
> [!Orbit] Audre Lord
> When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, Then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.
> [!orbit] [[Mary Oliver]]
> What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
> [!orbit] Louisa May Alcott
> Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

RWS and Season of the Witch Winter Tarot
> [!leaf] Symbols
Globe — literally holding the whole world in his hands; enormous potential if he is willing to expand his horizons.
Wands — The upright wand in the man’s left hand is resting on a block with a heraldic emblem of crisscrossed roses of desire and lilies of truth. The three classical colours of alchemy are being used — black, white, red — to show transformation of energy. The emblem being on the man’s left (his unconscious) means he needs to awaken to inner truths.
The wand to the right is fastened to the wall, fixed like the past. Focus needs to be put on the untethered higher wand, the place of new inspirations.
Polarity — *Spiritual Tarot* suggests that the globe represents mundane or worldly life and the wand represents spiritual life. We need both.
Parapet — This low wall can represent many compatible ideas: a protective boundary/staying in your comfort zone; worldly accomplishment, and/or a calm overview from a high and successful vantage point.
