Up: [[Thinking]] Created: 2022-06-30 I had such a good time yesterday, spending the morning on Connie Solera’s introduction to the colour Prussian Blue. It was, for me, a perfect blend. I learned something useful about mixing paint colours. I painted something pleasing during the lesson, then five more somethings when I wanted to use up all of the paint that I mixed. I’m happy I stayed with it, pushing myself to just paint, and that I didn’t fuss about doing something ‘meaningful’ with the paint and mixed media paper. And I also listened, watched, read and learned. Connie had included video and articles and paintings so I got to learn so much about the history of the colour, so many interesting and fun facts. For example, I have a much better sense of [Picasso’s Blue Period](https://www.pablopicasso.org/blue-period.jsp), what was the cause of it (suicide of a friend) and which paintings it included. This was a perfectly structured class for me. I loved it! Good to know I should look for this kind of learning experience in the future.
