See Gabor Maté’s quote in [[Freedom from Addiction Looks Like This]]. From the perspective of eating disorders, Woodman says that living in past and future is what leads our bodies to always feel that they are starving. *To be in the now is to be full.* The task is to learn to listen to your body. William Blake said that the body is *that portion of Soul discerned by the five Senses.* So feeding your soul through your [[senses]] is one way to really listen. This is what I am trying to do with this Spring’s [[Season of Senses]]. The task is also to be in your body through activities that connect you to your inner core. Woodman particularly recommends dance, and also voice work. The idea is to release muscles in your torso, throat and hips so that your voice comes from a natural ground in your body.
