And even if we’re asking the questions of ourselves, there’s fear that there may be no straightforward or ready answers for the big questions we ask ourselves. # Knowledge The more we know, the less we feel we need to ask. But we can rely too much on what we already know and not go beyond that. And the fact is, we don’t know as much as we think we do. This is where we need [[Shoshin, Beginner's Mind]] # Bias We don’t want to challenge beliefs that we have. # Hubris Belief that our biases are correct and everyone else’s are wrong, or that we don’t have biases but everyone else does. # Time We’re under pressure to make fast decisions, move fast, do a lot. Its not acceptable to ask why we’re doing what we’re doing or whether we should be doing it at all.
