In focused conversation it’s important to follow the sequence of ORID as below.
All questions are content-free and usually start with *how, what, which, why*

Uses both left and right brains
Understands that meaning is created
# Objective
- What is it? (Nick’s Clarify) Personalized, this could be what did I see? what was said?
- What words or phrases stand out?
- What happened?
- Focus is on data, facts, truths
# Reflective
- What does it remind me of? (Nick’s Connect) Personalized, Have I ever experienced something similar?
- How does it make me feel?
- What surprised me?
- What do I wonder about? (Nick’s Critique)
- What went through my mind when it was happening?
- Focus is on reactions, moods, memories, associations
# Interpretation
- What is this all about? (Nick’s Clarify)
- What does this mean for me? (Nick’s Clarify)
- Why is this important? (Nick’s Clarify)
- What can I learn from this?
- What’s the ideal outcome?
- Were there other choices in that situation?
- What assumptions am I making?
- What new information would change my mind?
- Builds a story of what’s happening; meaning, purpose, implications, considering options
# Decision (Action)
- What are my next steps?
- What do I need to do differently?
- Now what?
- What action do I want/need to take?
- Where else have I used this approach? How did it work?
- What do I need for this action to be successful?

Note: The process is Stanfield’s as are some of the questions. Some questions are mine or have come from other facilitation guides.
Alternatively, I also like using the What? —> So What? —> Now What? framework because it is so action driven.
