Up: [[Calling]] Created: 2022-02-09 **Primal Shout** *I am exactly what you needed me to be. If that need has changed, let me know.* [Plotinus](https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/plotinus/) an ancient Greek philosopher, said that we chose our body, the place we would be born, our parents, and our ancestors, all to give us the ‘just right’ conditions to express our [[Calling]]. ## So how was my body right for my calling? The first thing that comes to mind is that I had massive levels of energy when I was in the stage of life where I believed calling to be the same as vocation. Then, when I burned out, when that part of my calling was necessarily over, my body changed. I slowed down, gained a lot of weight so that I’d need to learn to embrace Hestia’s qualities of being mindful and calm, and so that I’d have to take the time to start considering calling as a way of [[Being Rather than Doing]]. This is a startling idea that bears a lot of thinking about. It would mean that my body is not ‘wrong’. It would mean that I should stop obsessing over health fears. Better instead to stay focused on calling, which I now see as living my inner vision, and recognize that everything that happens and has happened in my life has been there, not just to strengthen me, but to align me in embodying that vision. *Is a change to my body needed to live my calling in my third act?* Dig deeper on the above question and on this one — What has my body taught me about my calling?
