Composition gives the image its structure. For example, an image could be organized, chaotic, patterned, fragmentary… Visual elements can show variations in size or in relationships to one another. Elements might be emphasized or de-emphasized. ### Feeling Tone The first step in observing a drawing is for the therapist to look at it closely to pick up on the atmosphere or feeling tone of the drawing and the impact it has on the therapist as viewer.
