Quint cards aren't used by everyone, but they're considered helpful by people who are into numerology. To calculate a Quint card, you add all of the numbers of the cards in a reading. If you read with reversals, just consider a reversed card a negative number. There's lots of discussion of court cards. You can either assign them numbers 11-14 to match Page through King, or you can leave them out of the calculations. It doesn't matter what you do as long as you are consistent. If the total number is greater than 22, add the digits together so they reduce to a number below 22. The Quint card is always one of the Major Arcana.
