Up: [[Ego]] Created: 2023-09-24 Updated: 2025-09-11 A smart man, thinking he was more intelligent than the gods, tried to raise a bunch of supermen with which he could challenge the gods for the right to create and control the world. This man wanted to grow his supermen as fast as he could, and he fancied himself a bit of a horticulturalist, so he decided to grow them on trees since trees bear fruit fast. Everything went beautifully, and the man soon had an entire army of supermen who would follow his commands. But the gods were watching, saw a problem, and sent Ganesha, the elephant-headed deity, to supplement the man’s intelligence with some wisdom. It turns out that the man, believing that the head was the only useful part of a human, had grown only the heads of people. Embarrassed after his discussion with Ganesha, the man was going to destroy all of the heads. But Ganesha had a better idea. And this, dear reader, is the origin story of the coconut!
