![[Be Do Wheel (art).webp|500]]
Doing emerges from Being. Being is CORE.
The question is
- What does my body want? OR
- What would Hestia do? OR
- What choice do I want/need to make?
The above image I made surprised me. My desire for learning became a desire to receive and then expression became a desire to express. And then came the recognition that those are key characteristics of [[Feminine Principle]] and [[Masculine Principle]].
The core of the piece is what I called Inner and Outer Tranquility initially but what I now see as [[Hestia]]’s qualities.
Moving out from the core, the next layer is beauty, mystery, and spirituality.
The blue centre and the pink surround are aspects of Being.
The green is a demarcation between the centre and the two outside rings which both represent Doing.
The very outside ring is receive (learn) at the top and express at the bottom. Matched to those on the ring just inside is Intention at the top and Focus at the bottom.
### Update
Connecting to the idea that a wheel has a stillpoint at the center of it; a place of non-action. And this reminds me of Jean Shinoda Bolen’s comment that [[Hestia]] is the stillpoint at the centre of the soul, and also all of these other beautiful [[Quotes - Stillpoint]].
Another great idea – if both internal and external environments are important, how about keeping awareness on both simultaneously? Maybe 50/50, 70/30, 80/20? So while I’m sitting here typing, I’m also aware of the sensation in my body that feels a little bit anxious about all of the work I have to do for my next session, and I’m aware that although I just got up from a delicious hour long nap, I’m still feeling quite tired.
