A **kalpa** is a term used in Hindu writing to mean a period of four billion three hundred and twenty million years, which is a world cycle.
Buddhists refer to a **maha kalpa** which is ten thousand times as long as a kalpa.

Time it takes for a Himalayan buzzard to wear away Mount Everest brushing it once a century with its wing feather.
