For that habit to stick, the desired change has to be anchored to something that is meaningful to you, which is your intentions. If we keep habit at the level of goals, it’s easy to say things like wanting to eat less sugar so our energy is more sustainable. Some refer to these as dead person goals because a dead person can do them better than we can. The argument is that to make change meaningful, we have to go to a level deeper than goals and get into values.
