4 things you can touch. Focus on textures, temperature, or sensations under your hands or feet
3 things you can hear
2 things you can smell. This could be scents in the air or bring a scent towards yourself to smell.
1 thing you can taste. It could be water, it could be noticing the taste in your mouth.
I’m going to add sensation awareness to this list. A quick body scan — what I notice about temperature, pressure, pain, tingling. As I do this more and more, it will get easier and easier.
And on days when I don't want to attend to all of this, I'll choose a single experience such as having a shower and experience it as fully as possible.
