#### Meaningful Moments
List your meaningful moments. Define meaningful however you wish. What made them meaningful? Who were you with? What were you doing? Look for a theme to emerge that points to some of your core values.
You can also do the opposite. Some of your worst life experiences and why they were unfulfilling.
#### Reverse Engineer
Identify your pet peeves. What values are being trampled on?
#### Pay Attention to the Stories or People That Inspire You
Why do they speak to you and what does that say about you?
#### Imagine Your Ideal World
What services would you provide (or not)? How would people treat each other? What activities would people participate in? The choices you make reflect your values.
#### CORE Acronym
- Contemplation — Find a quiet place without distractions. Write responses to the question, “What do I value most in life?”
- Openness — Authenticity. When do you feel most like yourself? When least?
- Respect — Identify three people you admire and respect. Say why.
- Excitement — What inspires you to take action? What’s your inner drive?

This one is aspirational. What do you want people to say about you after you’re gone?
#### Values Tattoo
If you got a tattoo that would serve as a reminder of what you would like your life to be like, what would it be and why? Create it!
#### Bucket List
Making a list of what we want to do before we die connects to values because it tells us what’s most important in our limited time on the planet.
Make the bucket list as a three column chart:
1. thing to do before you die
2. Why would this be meaningful to me?
3. Score importance out of 10, from 0 - not at all to 10 - extremely meaningful
Look for the values, especially among items with high scores.
Consider how you might integrate the values into everyday life and come up with at least one action you can take this week to live in line with one or more of the values.
#### Meaningful Photos
Take 9-12 photos of things that make your life feel meaningful. For each, consider what the photo represents and why it is meaningful.
#### Go Beyond Limitations
Asking yourself the following questions will help take you beyond the anxiety that blocks clear understanding of your values.
- What would you do if you won the lottery tomorrow?
- What would you do if you were free from fear?
- What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
- If you were granted three wishes, what would they be?
- What have you always wanted to do but life always got in the way or held you back?
