Up: [[Mind Awareness]] Created: 2023-02-04 Updated: 2026-01-10 The idea is to talk to your body and ask it over and over, in a variety of ways, whatever body-based issue you are dealing with, such as, “How can I help you feel so good that you won’t want to eat for comfort?” - Draw a vertical line down the centre of a page. - Write a greeting at the top of the left column in your dominant hand. - Switch the pen to your non-dominant hand and, in the right column, respond to the question. Don’t censor or judge. Just allow whatever to emerge. - Go back and forth. When in dominant hand mode, use some variation of “What I can do to help you feel so good you won’t want to eat?” - Keep offering to help. No judging or condemning. Stop when non-dominant hand (your creature-self) signals a willingness to co-operate. > [!User] Martha Beck, *The 4 Day Win*, p.67 And a modification from Lucia Capacchione. With your dominant hand the question, rather than an issue, might be exploratory. And it might be a series of questions rather than one question asked in a lot of different ways. For example: “What body part are you? How do you feel? Why do you feel that way? What can I do to help you?” Answering is always with your non-dominant hand.
