The poem [The Guest House by Rumi](https://www.scottishpoetrylibrary.org.uk/poem/guest-house/) exemplifies the huge theme of focusing: the attitude of welcoming whatever comes. Leslie read the poem twice, asking me to listen for the first time with my head (listen as a story), and the second time feel into it, listen with my body. This is for the purpose of noticing the different kinds of listening. I wasn’t able to feel a difference. I keep listening with my head.
