Identify one or more key objects or characters in the painting. 3. What is the story you see? 4. Find some information. Can start by looking up one object at a time. If it’s something common, might want to use search of ‘fun facts about…’ ### Make Connections through Metaphor 1. Write the story you see, weaving in some of the information. Fine to do this in prose form. 2. Include a few metaphors/similes (what are some of the objects/people like?) If you didn’t include them in the writing, go back and put in after. ### Active Imagination 1. Interview a character or object of your choice from the painting. Ask 2-3 questions. 2. Write down the answers of your interview questions, preferably in the object or character’s voice. 3. Those ‘answers’ are poetic verses.
