Nor is it part of the world of mind or spirit. You cannot access it through your intellect. But you can come to this world for free and anytime you want because it is both in the cosmos *and* in you. Sufi mystics called it the eighth climate. Henri Corbin, a French scholar of Islamic thought and poetry, and a friend of psychiatrist [[C. G. Jung]], renamed it the [[Mundus Imaginalis]] or imaginal world. There is a difference between imaginal and imaginary. We think of imaginary as not real, as making things up — the purview of artists, schizophrenics, and young children who have imaginary friends. Imaginal, on the other hand, means an inner image.
