A boost has come early this morning in looking at Jamie Ridler’s Devotion program in her [School of Creative Magic](https://theschoolofcreativemagic.com/devotion). Her next three month program starts in January, but rather than spend the money, I want to create my own. Reading Jamie’s material about the program and all of the testimonials, some ideas to capture:
- Establish a vision of myself as an artist. Start with a map. Who am I now as an artist and who do I want to become?
- Design a program of study that will close the gap between current and potential. Jamie’s program is three months long. I could divide mine up according to seasons of the year.
- Create with passion and abandon
Devotion is ‘alchemical magic’. Thought - Can I use alchemy to develop my plans?
*When you step into a season of deep devotion, you cannot help but be transformed.*
Jamie has 12 principles of devotion. What are they?
Log my goal and intention for each session, what I do, and my reflection on the work. I want to devote some real time to this every day. Having an analog studio log might help me more readily see a satisfying accumulation of days.
I want to create a body of work, to know myself as an artist.
