Up: [[Artists and Art Movements]] Created: 2023-03-10 I had a lot of fun yesterday afternoon and most of today painting this piece in the style of [[Alan Davie, Scottish Painter of Symbol]]. My painting is divided into three just as Davie’s Mystical Landscape No.4 is divided into three, but my three sections are straight while his are a bit slanted and I’ve divided the space a bit differently with more devoted to the centre. Plus my three sections are all blue. I’ve used some of the same pieces as him, but not all, and I’ve used far fewer symbols than he did. The geometric on the lower left looks like windows to me or mirrors or maybe steel gates to a castle. The ladder leading to the [[spiral]] looks like a filmstrip. I love the two greens I’ve used below the unicorn. That looks like flowing grass to me. The single eye on the right is a bit haunting, especially above the cave. The circular shape on the left now looks like a beach ball to me. That left scene looks lonely, trapped. The centre scene is full of positive energy. The right scene feels like the depths. There is some danger there but also the excitement of an adventure. #Art ![[Mystical Landscape mine kh.webp]] ![[Alan Davie Mystical Landscape No. 4.webp]]
