Up: [[Sharing]] Course: A Page of One's Own with Jeannette Encinias on 27Powers Created: 2024-05-24 Express for the sake of connecting with others, not to provide information and be the ultimate authority. When I make writing be about love and human connection, it’s going to have a whole different texture. This shift in attitude is what’s going to help ease the worry that my writing isn’t ’good enough’. Hearing Jeannette say that writing is a conversation goes a long way to explaining why I have not been feeling the need to write for sharing. I like deep talk with people I know. I'm not sure how to transition that to a more public forum, plus I have to be careful about what I share since Jungian analysis requires privacy. Jeannette suggests that before sharing, we answer three questions: - Is this too much information? - Do I feel safe sharing this information? - Will this be helpful to someone else? If the answer to all three isn’t ‘yes’, don’t share. Once a piece does go out, it’s important to see it as something separate from you. You're creating it with the forces that are beyond you. You have communed with this thing and now it’s out in the world. You needed to birth it so you could let it go. It is not you.
