Julie suggested thinking of [[Hecate]] as companion, guide and witness as you answer the following four questions. Draw two intersecting paths or lines in the circle to create the crossroads and illustrate one in each segment after first journaling or listing your responses. Allow feelings, memories and associations to guide you. ![[Mandala Stage 10.webp|500]] 1) What has life taught me that I now know to be true? Perfection belongs to the gods. It is arrogant to think it possible for me. And more, it’s not wanted or needed. Perfection is counter to what’s truly needed which is completeness. I’ve shown a river with strong currents, rock obstacles, and multiple [[Spiral]]s because at any one time, we’re in different places for different aspects of our life. 2) What am I reluctant to see or acknowledge? That I am not special, not going to make a world-shaking contribution before I am gone; will not be remembered one hundred years from now. I’ve made an urn with ashes 3) What have I lost? What is ending? What has died? The illusion of #2 above and the energy to try. The brutal work ethic that abused my body, mind and spirit. I’ve lost the fantasy of infinite perfect possibility. I’ve shown a shortened runaway, which also happens to be a downward pointing triangle aimed at the cave representing descent. There’s also Hecate’s crescent moon here. 4) How can I remain with uncertainty and not knowing where I am going? By creating in general and, more specifically, by paying attention to simple pleasures, which means recording them through word and image. I’ve shown an open journal or sketchbook with a fountain pen and a paintbrush.
